Undead Nation – Combat systems

As a lover of strategy game, UN gave a new approach (at least to me) in combat system, one of few that I haven’t minded the PvP aspect of the game.

Roughly speaking UN has 4 types of combat, to which I feel like some survivors play betther than others.

  1. Basic combat – This is your run of the mill combat – such as, scenarios, zoms at Urban Warfare. As far as I can see, there shouldn’t be much trouble getting through these with enough firepower – if in doubt, play the basic – one tank, one support, one dps, and one splash.
  2. Speed – AKA Yolo – I see these in the Breach, as they give you a shorter time-limit. (excluding the special floor, like infected Bill, Infected Yoona, or B13)
  3. PvP (offence) – AKA Raid, and yes, I realise it’s pretty different from the above.
  4. PvP (defence) – thanks to other games that I have been immersed in, I have some appreciation in playing defence. All on all, I think this game has some of the more interesting way of playing defence (mix of survivor, rooms and traps)

In the coming days/weeks, I want to share some of my observations and why I think many people may be using the wrong strategy or approach. I personally think there are some hidden gems of survivors that are misunderstood in how they are meant to be used.

Please note, this is just my own thought and observation – anyone who has any additional insight, please chime in.
